WindStreet Energy will purchase RECs to offset the power used at your home from renewable sources across the country. To make this process simple for the consumer, we use information published by the US Department of Energy to determine the average annual household electric usage and purchase RECs for that usage amount on each card purchased. These RECs are retired and never sold again.
